Hi, I’m Kamron Richards, the founder of LocalBirdies. I grew up in a small town in Arizona where local businesses weren’t just stores — they were neighbors, friends, and the heartbeat of the community. I’ve always loved that close-knit feeling, where people show up to support each other. That’s the spirit I wanted to bring into LocalBirdies.
I started this company because I believe small businesses deserve big attention. Too often, local shops get overshadowed by big corporations with endless ad budgets. With LocalBirdies, I wanted to create something different — a way for hometown businesses to stand out, connect, and be celebrated right in their own community.
That’s why I created the Local Business Postcard Spotlight. Each month, we design and deliver a giant 9x12 postcard packed with local businesses, right into the hands of nearby households. Unlike traditional postcard marketing — which can be expensive for a single business — our shared design keeps costs affordable while creating something totally unique and eye-catching. With multiple businesses featured together, these postcards always stand out in the mailbox and grab attention in a way no plain flyer ever could.
As for the name? Well, I’m a huge golf fan, and I love the feeling of scoring a “birdie.” I loved the idea of tying that passion into my business — but it also fit perfectly with my idea of “little birdies” spreading the word around town. LocalBirdies is about both: helping businesses win and making sure their message carries.
At LocalBirdies, we’re not just sending mail. We’re creating a community. Because when local businesses thrive, everyone wins.
